More good food :)

Went to a nice little Restrurant last Sat night with Ali and Jeff. It was the Rainbow Cafe in Pine Island, MN. 

It is located about half hour north of Rochester, MN. The town itself has a wide Main Street with lots of interesting stores. 

To the food, the food was a bit pricey , but the maple sauce on my salmon and the great walleye Jeff had were terrific! 

The food is very fresh, desserts are top shelf !! 

A nice , quiet , pleasant cafe to go to

Had lunch today at Little Oscars in Hampton, MN 

This place had been in business since 1964, had a great hot pork sandwich and mashed potatoes with some tasty gravy, yep real comfort food. 

And then a little Dutch Apple pie for dessert :)

Ice rainbow

This happened Thursday morning by Lakeville, MN   Was 15 below F. Yes a bit cold, and sometimes ice crystals that are in the sky, gets hit just right by the sun  and the rainbow is created. 

This is the largest one I have even seen. It was hundreds if not thousands of feet high ! 

Vermont update

The last pics I posted on Vermont were taken last Oct on another visit. Now the lake is frozen, not much snow. Just a cloudy day today. 

Vermont

Just out for a walk here in Newport, VT. Light snow and upper 20's. very quiet town of about 2000 people. Sits at the south edge of Lake Memphremagog, a long lake that extends into Canada about 20 miles or so. 

The towns houses line the lake on the hills that surround the lake, very pretty area 

Home for the weekend, supposed to be in the 30's today. A real nice change as it was 20 below a week ago. Off to NJ and then up to Vermont this coming week, should be nice in Vermont  with all there snow. Will try to post some pics
